Our Mission
Inspired by Dr. Ronald T. Pannesi’s lifelong dedication to education and community engagement, Dr. P’s Pages is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that partners with local independent bookstores and booksellers to curate special in-store displays of impactful literature—especially titles that have been challenged or banned—and to provide these books free of charge to young readers. Through these partnerships, we strive to foster a love of reading, champion intellectual freedom, and empower the next generation with access to diverse ideas and stories.

Dr. P’s Pages began as a tribute to Dr. Pannesi’s passion for lifelong learning and community service. After decades spent guiding students and professionals through the complexities of operations and supply chain management, Dr. Pannesi saw firsthand how access to diverse perspectives fuels creativity and critical thinking. Rooted in Wendell, North Carolina, our organization channels that spirit by bringing carefully chosen literature directly into the hands of young readers—especially those titles that spark conversation and have faced challenges elsewhere.
We collaborate with neighborhood bookstores to assemble themed collections, then design vibrant in-store displays that invite families to explore. Each book featured is made available at no cost to children, removing financial barriers and encouraging exploration beyond the classroom — creating memorable experiences that inspire curiosity and build confidence. By weaving together local partnerships and hands-on programs, Dr. P’s Pages opens doors to new ideas and champions the joy of reading in every community we serve.
